Welcome to Plymouth LINKS!
Plymouth LINKS is the section of St John Ambulance set up and run by students of Plymouth University. We are the official UPSU Society who dedicates our time to providing first aid to whoever needs it.
We supply top quality training by qualified members, support and equipment to our division so they can confidently and effectively treat people as official St John Ambulance First Aiders.
We cover a variety of events including
- Music Concerts like Jessie J, Evanescence and Will Young.
- Sports Events – Tour de Moor, Plymouth Argyle, BMX.
- Community Projects – Fun runs.
- University Events – Summertime Ball
- Comedy Gigs – Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre.
- … and many more!
But we don’t stop at just providing First Aid! As both a university society and an official St John Ambulance division, we offer many opportunities for self development by training others, getting involved in youth work, providing emergency support in times of crisis, fundraise, raising the profile of First Aid and taking part in national competitions!
Volunteer Hard, Play HARDER! Our regular and varied social events are headed up by a dedicated Social Sec – who ensures that we let our hair down after a hard days studying, training or lifesaving! You never know, sometimes even on a social we come across casualties, like fish to a bandage!
150,000 die needlessly each year, when even basic fist aid could have saved their lives. We find this statistic shocking and that is why we do what we do This is not just a statistic: PlymLINKS members have saved lived and will continue to save lives; At events, on the street; Wherever and whenever required.
You could be the difference between a life saved and a life lost, join us today.
